Did you know that 91% of Canadians are not prepared for their financial future?
- Very few people have financial goals other than “be rich” or “win the lottery”.
- Most people don’t have emergency funds for replacing hot water heaters or covering time between jobs.
- Without financial goals, people then don’t have a plan to reach those goals.
- 2/3 of Canadians don’t have insurance to protect their loved ones when something tragic happens. They are relying on things like GoFundMe.
- Few companies have Pension Plans anymore. And most people are utilizing neither their RRSPs nor their TFSAs to their max.
- Many people have crushing debt loads resulting in being less than 1 pay cheque away from insolvency.
- Too many people are over paying for mortgages or hold under performing investments because they bought what their bank was offering.
- Few people know what questions to ask or where to start.
My goal is to assist those who the above bullet points apply to. The first step is in awareness and asking those first few but important questions covered in the survey.
